Therapy for Women

Helping Women Move from Survival to Wholeness

You can be successful, capable, and high-functioning, and still feel exhausted.

Many of the women I work with are carrying more than anyone realizes. They are managing careers, marriages, motherhood, caregiving responsibilities, grief, trauma, relationship stress, and the pressure to hold everything together. From the outside, they appear strong. Internally, they often feel overwhelmed, disconnected, lonely, anxious, or unsure of who they are beneath everyone else’s expectations.

I specialize in helping women navigate depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and questions of identity and self-worth. Many of my clients arrive feeling stuck in survival mode, wondering why they remain depleted despite working so hard to build a meaningful life.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and direct. Together, we explore the experiences that shaped you, the beliefs that may no longer be serving you, and the patterns that keep you feeling trapped. Therapy is not about becoming someone new. It is about reconnecting with who you already are underneath the stress, expectations, and responsibilities you have carried for so long.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, Board Certified Telemental Health Provider, and Associate Professor of the Practice at Vanderbilt University. For more than 15 years, I have worked with individuals navigating depression, trauma, grief, crisis, and significant life transitions. My clinical work is informed by both extensive practice experience and my ongoing scholarship in resilience, belonging, trauma recovery, grief, and mental health.

I provide virtual counseling for adult women throughout Georgia and Alabama.

You do not have to navigate this season of life alone.

Counseling for Women

Life does not have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy.

Many women seek counseling because they are tired of carrying everything on their own. They feel responsible for everyone else’s needs while their own needs remain unmet. They may struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, caregiving stress, or the lingering impact of past trauma.

Therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of your experiences, and develop new ways of responding to life’s challenges. Together, we will work to strengthen your emotional resilience, improve your relationships, increase self-confidence, and help you move toward a life that feels more aligned with your values.

My approach integrates evidence-based therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed counseling. While techniques matter, I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, understood, challenged, and supported.

Whether you are navigating a major life transition, struggling with depression, recovering from trauma, processing grief, or simply feeling lost in the roles you have been expected to play, therapy can help you build a stronger relationship with yourself and create meaningful, lasting change.
